The role
This role forms part of a dynamic team critical to the work of the organisation in defending and progressing the rights and interests of people with developmental disability so that they can enjoy the same opportunities and experiences that most Australians enjoy.
What you will be doing
- Analysis and advice on structural and systemic barriers inhibiting the experiences of people with developmental disability across Australian society.
- Developing and coordinating social change campaigns that lead to real change in the lives of people with developmental disability.
- Supporting and developing the advocacy leadership development of families and their contribution to the social change efforts across the organisation.
- Working alongside and building alliances and coalitions that support the social change required.
- Prepare submissions, reports or discussion papers relating to Government policy, practice and legislation or as needed in consultation with the Executive Officer.
